How does Lasik surgery work?

Lasik creates a thin flap on the cornea then folded on the side during the laser reshapes the surface of the cornea.

After the quick laser procedure, the corneal flap is folded back and it will naturally recover in a few weeks, but will only fully recover after around 12 months.
